What we collect when you apply, and what we do with it.

What we collect

When you apply to appear on a show, we collect the name, Instagram handle and mobile number you enter, and the photo you upload if you choose to add one.

We also record your answers to the confirmations on the form — that you are 18 or over, that you agree to the show consent agreement, whether you are available for the date shown, and whether you agreed to receive text messages.

We record the IP address the application was sent from and the time it was received. If your Instagram profile is public, we read the follower count and profile picture it displays.

Why we collect it

To decide who to cast, to recognise you at the door, and to contact you about the show you applied for.

Your phone number is used to reach you about casting and the show. We only send text messages to people who have ticked the SMS consent box on the application form.

Text messages

Agreeing to texts is optional and is not a condition of applying or of being cast. The box is unticked by default and your application is treated the same either way.

If you agree, we may text you about casting decisions, show times, locations, reminders, confirmations and last-minute changes. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving them, or HELP for help. Opting out does not withdraw your application.

We do not sell phone numbers, and we do not share them for anyone else’s marketing.

Who else handles your information

The application is hosted on Vercel and stored in a Neon Postgres database. Photos are stored in Vercel Blob storage. Text messages are sent through Twilio.

Each of those providers processes the data on our behalf in order to run the service. We do not sell your information or share it for anyone else’s advertising.

How long we keep it

Applications are kept while a show is being cast. After a show, applicants are moved into an archive so the team can recognise returning faces; that archive keeps your name, handle, photo and phone number.

Records of consent — including the exact wording you agreed to and when — are kept for as long as we may need to show that permission was given.

Your choices

You can stop text messages at any time by replying STOP.

To ask what we hold about you, or to ask us to delete it, contact chazcartii on Instagram. Deleting your details will withdraw any pending application.
